Having Cataract Surgery After Having Had LASIK Surgery

Has anyone had cataract surgery after having had LASIK surgery in the past? I have cataracts now, and had LASIK surgery in 2000. I am being told that there is an issue with getting the right correction for the corrective lenses implanted during cataract surgery, if one had LASIK before. I also understand that some doctors maintain they have solved the problem, but their views might be controversial within the ophthalmology profession.
