Clay Shaw and 1948 Play Memorial

I recently received some information on Clay Shaw's attempt to have his 1948 full-length play, Memorial, made into a film. The studio synopsis and its evaluation of the play were included. This is the play that many gossiped had to do with a returning soldier planning to assassinate a President!

Clay Shaw and World War II Military Service

I just received a nice long letter from a WWII veteran who served with Clay Shaw from May to November 1945. He has helped tremendously in filling in some of the gaps regarding Shaw's service. More to come!

Clay Shaw and Latest Developments

I sent a copy of Clay Shaw's 1948 play, Memorial, out to a scholar who has analyzed his other plays. I also have now received the files from Warner Brothers Studios concerning an attempt to turn the play into a film in 1949.
