Anderson Cooper and Wyatt Cooper and Clay Shaw

One of the many people Clay Shaw knew was Wyatt Cooper, father of Anderson Cooper. In fact, buried deep within the National Archives is a Christmas card to Clay Shaw from Wyatt Cooper, along with a photo of Anderson Cooper and his brother Carter Cooper, as young children. One will recognize Anderson Cooper upon seeing the photograph, with no explanation.

Trivia question: does anyone know how Clay Shaw knew Wyatt Cooper?

Clay Shaw and Norman Cousins

Clay Shaw knew Norman Cousins, the longtime editor of the Saturday Review of Literature. Cousins's speeches were managed by the Lee Keedick agency, where Shaw worked from 1939-42. He was one of numerous literary and political figures known to Shaw over his lifetime. Can anyone name another?

Biography of Clay Shaw

My biography of Clay Shaw is written, weighing in at 315,000 words, and God knows how many actual pages. I am currently in the final editing process, and hope to have it ready by early next year.
