Clay Shaw and Norman Cousins
Clay Shaw knew Norman Cousins, the longtime editor of the Saturday Review of Literature. Cousins's speeches were managed by the Lee Keedick agency, where Shaw worked from 1939-42. He was one of numerous literary and political figures known to Shaw over his lifetime. Can anyone name another?

Clay Shaw did indeed know Gore Vidal, long before Vidal became a regular on TV talk shows. The two fell away after a time, though.
