Clay Shaw and Stuart Timmons

At least one account has said that Clay Shaw approached a Stuart Timmons about writing a book about his case, the book that eventually became American Grotesque by James Kirkwood. The account seems to quote Stuart Timmons as saying that very thing. However, Stuart Timmons, who is 55 now, would have been only 10 years old in 1967, which is when Clay Shaw was arrested, and when, later that same year, he met James Kirkwood, and Kirkwood became interested in writing about Shaw's situation.
